Free Idea Friday

Ideas are easy. Execution is hard. Every Friday I will share an idea that's been rolling around in my head that I have neither the time nor the where-with-all to execute. Remember, it's free, so take it for what it's worth.

Taking the Subway to Germany
A few weeks ago, we discovered Pretzel Rolls at our local supermarket.

Made with pretzel dough, these rolls taste just like pretzels, slightly salty, sweet, yeasty and delicious. So I started thinking about the kinds of sandwiches you could serve on these rolls and came up with these.

They might make a nice limited time addition to the menu at Subway.

I think I've been living in Sheboygan too long.

Enjoy.

  1. Oh, Harvey. I am stunned that you would even think of the pretzel roll before you thought of the Sheboygan hard roll. Sigh.

  2. I've enjoyed many a brat on a Sheboygan hard roll and may just head over to the City Bakery to pick up a half dozen for the weekend!

I just think that Pretzel Bread has huge marketability nationally... It's a new form of something people are already familiar with.

  5. Where did you find the Pretzel Rolls? I had my first experience with one in Milwaukee at the Milwaukee Brat Haus. Delicious twist I must say.
